SimpleTask is in dire need of an update, both in terms of UI and behind the hood changes to make it run better. Unfortunately, though I've had these plans drawn up for a while, I am looking for help to realize them. If you are a iOS or Mac developer, please contact me if you'd like to work together!
This version of the website focuses on being extremely direct with only the info one wants to see, and quick links to buy each app.
With any luck, it will be completed and used with the new versions of SimpleTask. As it is, I like it too much to leave it hidden away in a folder. Only iPhone and home pages are operational.
This website was created after material such as business cards, etc. were made. I integrated the blue and green colors of the print material as well as the "Galactic Butterfly" symbol into the design, but lightening up the visual information to make it an easy to read and use website, adapting print material to a workable web solution.

For the coming refresh of the SimpleTask to-do app for Mac and iOS, I wanted to make the icons cleaner and more professional. For the Mac version, this meant redrawing the post-it and going for a smooth, vector check-mark instead of the previous "hand drawn" one. On iOS I went for a nice wood background to match the app itself.
I was in charge of the website for SimpleTask, a Mac and iPhone to-do application, from writing the copy for the various pages to creating every image on the site.
We wanted to maintain an “Apple-like” feel while keeping a unique identity. Using color liberally compared to Apple, but using similar font families and layout accomplished this.

I was asked to create a new website to match the new branding and logo of Essential MFR. The client gave me a couple of sites and pointed out aspects which he liked, and I went from there.
An important point for the client was the navigation, which sports pop-up menus upon rollover of certain navigation links. It allowed the navigation to appear simple, but expand to reveal a wealth of information when the visitor wanted to know more.

Here I went with a more serious and businessy approach than previous iterations. After experimenting with colors and textures, I decided to go with a stone look, with electric-blue "lighting" accents.
A nice aspect of this design is the side panel which gives all my contact information and current availability status at a glance on every page.

This was just a small project for myself that I released the the public. I never liked the Dropbox icon/logo as it didn't really fit with the Mac OS X style of icons, so I designed my own to fit nicely. It's also a pretty nice generic downloads icon.
This Calvin and Hobbes fanpage needed a design that didn't infringe upon copyright by including tons of C&H images, but still worked with the feeling of the strip.
As an avid Calvin and Hobbes fan, I went with a wood and red motif that evokes the feeling of curling up with a Calvin and Hobbes book in a nice library.

I was approached by Dabbledoo Media to create a logo for their Apple news site, Appletell, in preparation for a coming redesign.
I linked the Appletell logotype into its Apple coverage by stylizing the A to resemble the Apple, Inc logo, taking a "bite" out of the side and adding a leaf on top. I also used an Apple-like font, leaving the rest of the logo simple text.
